GS3060 - GSM Universal Wireless Alarm Communicator
The GS3060 connects your alarm control panel to the GSM network and reports alarm signals directly to our monitoring station. The GS3060 uses the GPRS data channel of the GSM network to ensure low-cost, high-speed and reliable alarm communications. It is compatible with all control panels that communicate using the Contact ID alarm format.
How it Works
The GS3060 is installed between the telephone connection of a control panel and a telephone or Internet line
if used. When operating in a backup role, the communicator assesses the connection to the phone or Internet line
and if that has failed, it connects to the GSM network to send a signal. In a primary role, the communicator
simply sends the alarm transmission over the GSM network immediately.
Alarm signals are transmitted directly to the IP line card of our monitoring station receiver (Sur-Gard System II/System III)
without the need of a 3rd party clearing house.
The GS3060 has been listed by UL for Residential Fire and Burglary and Commercial Burglary installations. The device has been investigated under the requirements of UL985, UL1023 and UL1610 standards.
